4. How much and what quality of fuel will I need to supply my Econoburn™ wood boiler?

Econoburn™ wood boilers use substantially less wood (often only half as much as other wood-fired boilers) and produce high volumes of heat and hot water. The boiler can effectively burn any type of precut cord wood, or scrap lumber. An average wood moisture content between 13% - 22% will yield optimum performance.

5. Which Econoburn™ wood boiler model will I need to provide sufficient heat for my application?

Boiler sizing is based on the size of your home or building, the location of your home or building (colder climates require more heat), and your home or building’s construction.

For example, the size, type, and number of windows and doors, and the amount of insulation in the walls and ceilings, contribute to your home’s heatloss (and boiler sizing) in addition to the overall size of the structure and its geographic location.

Use the chart below as a rough guide to boiler sizing. You can also examine the BTU rating of your existing heating appliance for a good benchmark. Call us today to discuss your home or building's heating needs. (866) 818-5162
